Today marks my first appearance in the famed Frontalittle Squad. Check out Songfight’s green fight — Merry Christmas — and hear it for yourself.
It was a lot of fun, but It’s a stretch of my rapping abilities. The difficulty arises because the songs have a narrative quality, so I feel obliged to kind of rap and act simultaneously. It makes it hard to sound cool without leaving the realm of the story. Maybe I’m just trying too hard.
I just performed a lot of messy site updates, to integrate the song comments section with the main blog comments, and to clean up the interface. Please let me know if you find any bad links or otherwise ugly behavior. Thanks!

For the Put Cindy Back on the Bus fight (hopefully going up this afternoon), I provided a bassline for a song that Jack Shite (Steve O’Styles) wrote and recorded.
I think my bassline is the weakest part, but the song is cool.
For a name we chose “A Rich King’s Fat Jester” — an anagram of “Jack Shite Starfinger”.
Well, I claimed a few days ago that I would return more powerful than ever to songfight this week, but I’m not sure that’s going to happen. The new songs aren’t due until Friday, so there is still hope that I will get a collaborative effort together, but none of my original ideas really panned out. I think my personal standards have gone up too much since winning the soup fight!
